What to do with those old family photos

How to save & share precious images for future generations.

Do you have a box of unsorted family photos in your drawer or cupboard? Always wonder what you’re supposed to do with your old photographs, slides or negatives?

Maybe that yellowing photograph of your great grandmother actually deserves to be in a museum or archive.

Well, now you can donate any old photographs, postcards, slides & negatives (even cine or video film) to the Wrexham History Photo Archive, we will scan, sort and in some cases research your items and share on this website or in our Photo Archive. It does help if you can identify names, location and date and simply write on the reverse on the pic with a soft pencil, or add in on separate sheet, although it doesn’t matter if you don’t have this information.

Then using our contact form to obtain a postal address you can send your items to us.

Here is an example of an album kindly donated.
