Admission including tax 8d, reserved side 1s.

For the game, which included most of the Wrexham 3rd Division (North) side, there were over 5000 spectators who paid £108 in gate money. The match was a 1-1 draw and a replay was arranged to take place at the Racecourse.

This time, a crowd of over 6000 paid a total of £179 in gate money to watch Rhos win by two goals to nil, through Leedham and Fisher. After the game “the winners motored home through cheering crowds of enthusiastic supporters“.

The Soames Cup made it a treble for Rhos, who had already won the Welsh National League Division 1 (Northern Section) and the League Cup, beating Holyhead 2-0 at Bangor.
