Plas Ucha

Plas Ucha Farm is a hillside farm above Pen-y-cae which was wrecked on Saturday 31st August 1940 following the worst night of bombing of the Wrexham area during WWII. Peter Morris, the farmer escaped, but sadly his two sisters Elizabeth Ann & Mary Ellen and a farm worker Frank Jones were killed in the explosion. Plas Ucha was finally destroyed by a fire on 2nd April 1941. It was subsequently completely rebuilt.
