Bryn Williams remembers that next door to the left was a Barbers shop whose name was Bert Maurice. I lived in Bank Street next to the Griffin Inn to the right of the picture you can just about see my house. Two families lived in the old Public house, one in the front and the other in the back. I can remember Sarah Charles and her son John living in the front and in the back were Joe and Jennie Roberts with their children Betty, Beryl, Shirley and Gwyn. One thing that used to fascinate me when I was a boy was the writing on the gable end Good Stableing. Happy memories.
